Ladies and gentlemen, I am so excited to announce that rehearsals for the FOURPIANO MEN have begun.THATS RIGHT! That show that had audiences dancing in isles at the Palace Theatre last season is Back in action! The energy is already kicking and we are only getting started. That is a beautiful thing. We are off to a great start!
We have four new cast members in the show and the rest are returnees from the premier last year. There is no doubt that last years cast was a very talented group, but as always the Palace Theatre is constantly raising the bar higher and higher so, get ready for some incredible talent this year. We have got some power house dancers that will knock you socks off! So you might want to wear two pair (haha). We have two new boy and two new girl dancers that are top notch. I am really excited to see the energy they bring to the group. You will probably recognize some of the new cast members. Some were seen in Royalty of Rock ‘n’Pop as well as Legally Blonde the Musical! this season on the Palace Theatre Stage.
As a returnee from last year’s hugely successful premier of The Four Piano Men, I am so interested and excited to see how the show evolves and grows. AND YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT WILL. DON’T GET ME WRONG, the majority of the production will be the same exciting experience that audiences were raving about last year. The awesome thing about getting to do the show a second time is that we are going to have time to keep the show fresh so that we keep our audiences on their toes.
Our first day of rehearsal we spent most of the our time working in the Stevie Wonder expression of the show. Things are going very smoothly! Carl is such a great director to work with because he works with us to make the movement fit our bodies. He definitely has a clear vision of what he wants, especially having choreographed the show last season, but he is totally open to collaborating with his performers to get the best product. I really respect that about Carl and his process. Its a really awesome thing because it would be very easy for him to demand the same exact show as last year. Carl’s process inspires fresh creativity and in my opinion that is the best way to build a successful show. SO, I would say we are off to a great start… No AN AWESOME START!
